A Note From The Founder About DOWNSIZING by utterDECLUTTER

My journey has been shaped by family values and on-the-job experience. Growing up as the ninth of ten children, I learned the importance of hard work, resilience, and connection. Early memories of accompanying my father, a dentist and entrepreneur, to his properties taught me the value of relationships and pride in one’s work. His foresight and ability to think outside the square inspired me in my business.
 
As a teenager, I started a lawn mowing business, gaining a strong work ethic. After finishing school in 1989, I began work as an unpaid intern at Raine & Horne Commercial CBD, quickly advancing to Property Manager and obtaining my real estate licence. I later joined my family’s property development group, where 17 years of diverse challenges honed my skills for my next venture.
 
Today, as the founder of DOWNSIZING by utterDECLUTTER, I draw on those experiences to help clients, especially older Australians, navigate the major transition of downsizing. We combine compassion, practicality, and expertise to prepare homes for sale.
 
From decluttering and repairs to styling and seller advocacy, we aim to make the process stress-free and maximise market potential.
What drives me is helping people achieve their property goals while honouring values of hard work, family, and community. Each step of my journey has led to my mission of empowering others during one of life’s big transitions.
